Chris Weitz Responds to Volturi Nude Scene Rumor

The other day, in an MTV interview with Jamie Campbell-Bower, he said there would be a nude scene with the Volturi in New Moon, now Chris Weitz tells us that is not true. Here is what he said:

Dear all,

I would like to put everyone’s mind at rest and let them know that theVolturi are not naked! Jamie (Campbell-Bower) has what you might call adry sense of humor and almost managed to convince me — which is why he’ssuch a good actor. Anyway, be assured that, even though we do want thelook of the Volturi to be a bit of a surprise, they are always — as inthe book! — fully clothed.

best,
Chris Weitz

I think this joke was really funny, it's good to know that he has a sense of humor, I can't believe so many people believed him!

Stephenie Meyer to get her own Comic!

Blue Water Productions, the makers of the Female Force Comics (featuring stars such as Oprah Winfrey, Michelle Obama, and Princess Diana) will be creating a biography on Stephenie Meyer in the form of a Comic. It should be due to be released sometime around the release of New Moon.

In time for the November theatrical release of "The Twilight Saga: New Moon," Bluewater Productions announced it is producing two versions of an upcoming biography comic on best selling author Stephenie Meyer.

Female Force: Stephenie Meyer, scheduled for release right before the movie hits theaters on, November 20th, provides readers two options: a standard 22-page version and a double-sized collector’s edition that contains a variety of extras.

"We get to turn the tables on Meyers and she becomes the featured protagonist," said Bluewater’s president Darren G. Davis. "And we are going to tell her story in a very fun, respectful and unique way."

Will Rachelle Promote New Moon?

Mark Malkin talks about the Rachelle Controversy and has some valid points, here is the video:

Wednesday, July 29, 2009

Rachelle's Statement to being recast and Summit's reaction.

Earlier today Rachelle made a statement to Access Hollywood regarding Summit's announcement about the part of Victoria being recast. Here is her statement:

“I was stunned by Summit’s decision to recast the role of Victoria for ‘Eclipse,’” Rachelle said in a statement to Access Hollywood.

On Tuesday, Summit announced that Bryce Dallas Howard would be taking on the role in “Eclipse,” due in May 2010.

“I was fully committed to the ‘Twilight’ saga, and to the portrayal of Victoria,” Rachelle continued, explaining the turn of events that led to the casting change. “I turned down several other film opportunities and, in accordance with my contractual rights, accepted only roles that would involve very short shooting schedules. My commitment to ‘Barney’s Version’ is only ten days. Summit picked up my option for ‘Eclipse.’ Although the production schedule for ‘Eclipse’ is over three months long, Summit said they had a conflict during those ten days and would not accommodate me. Given the length of filming for ‘Eclipse,’ never did I fathom I would lose the role over a 10 day overlap. I was happy with my contract with Summit and was fully prepared to continue to honor it. Summit chose simply to recast the part.”

The star concluded her statement with a regretful tone.

“I am greatly saddened that I will not get to complete my portrayal of Victoria for the ‘Twilight’ audience. This is a story, a theatrical journey and a character that I truly love and about which I am very passionate. I will be forever grateful to the fan support and loyalty I’ve received since being cast for this role, and I am hurt deeply by Summit’s surprising decision to move on without me. I wish the cast and crew of ‘Eclipse’ only the very best,” she said.

And here is Summit's reaction to that statement:

We at Summit Entertainment are disappointed by Rachelle Lefevre’s recent comments which attempt to make her career choices the fault of the Studio. Her decision to discuss her version of the scheduling challenges publicly has forced the Studio to set the record straight and correct the facts.

• Ms. Lefevre's representatives were advised as early as April that THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE was expected to start shooting in early August.

• If Ms. Lefevre was, as she describes “passionate,” about being part of THE TWILIGHT SAGA, we feel that she and her representatives would have included us in her decision to work on another film that would conflict with the shooting schedule of THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE.

• It was not until July 20th that Summit was first informed of Ms. Lefevre’s commitment to BARNEY’S VERSION, a commitment we have since been advised she accepted in early June. Summit had acted in good faith that she would be available to fulfill her obligations both in terms of rehearsals and shooting availability for THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE. We feel that her choice to withhold her scheduling conflict information from us can be viewed as a lack of cooperative spirit which affected the entire production.

• Furthermore Ms. Lefevre took a role in the other film that places her in Europe during the required rehearsal time, and at least ten days of THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE’s principal photography. This period is essential for both rehearsal time with the cast, and for filming at key locations that are only available during the initial part of production.

• Contrary to Ms. Lefevre’s statement, it is simply untrue that the Studio dismissed her over a ten day overlap. It is not about a ten day overlap, but instead about the fact that THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE is an ensemble production that has to accommodate the schedules of numerous actors while respecting the established creative vision of the filmmaker and most importantly the story. The fact remains that Ms. Lefevre’s commitment to the other project - which she chose to withhold from Summit until the last possible moment - makes her unfortunately unavailable to perform the role of Victoria in THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE.

Rachelle Lefevre Been Replaced for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse!

Summit Entertainment has officially announced on their website that Bryce Dallas Howard will be replacing Rachelle Lefevre as Victoria in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. Here is the announcement:

Summit Entertainment announced today that Bryce Dallas Howard will take over the role of "Victoria" in the studio's upcoming production of THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE. Actress, Rachelle Lefevre, who portrayed the character in TWILIGHT as well as the upcoming release of THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON, will not continue in the role due to scheduling conflicts with another commitment the actor has made. THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE will start filming in Vancouver this coming August.

THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE, the third film in the studio's TWILIGHT film franchise based on Stephenie Meyer's blockbuster book series, will be directed by David Slade from a screenplay written by Melissa Rosenberg. The film will be released theatrically in North America on Wednesday, June 30, 2010.

"We are incredibly happy that Bryce has agreed to come into the franchise," said Erik Feig, Summit's President of Worldwide Production and Acquisitions. "Rachelle brought "Victoria" to great screen life and Bryce will bring a new dimension to the character. The franchise is lucky to have such a talented actress as Bryce coming in to fill the role.

"Howard most recently starred in TERMINATOR SALVATION as Kate Connor and has been seen in SPIDER-MAN 3, LADY IN THE WATER, and THE VILLAGE. She was nominated for a Golden Globe for her leading performance as an actress in the HBO film AS YOU LIKE IT.

I have a few opinions on this.

1. Rachelle was a HUGE part of Twilight, she loved the books as much as most TwiHards out there. She also loved being a part of the movies and being part of Bella's world.

2. I have much doubt that Rachelle would schedule something during the filming of Eclipse when she knew very far in advance about Eclipse.

3. I think Summit is just giving us their "line" bullcrap about scheduling issues because they don't want to have to deal with angry fans.

If they think we're going down without a fight, they're dead wrong.
If you want to get Rachelle back go to Bring Rachelle Back to see what you can do.
Disagree with my opinions? Know something I don't or if my thinkings are wrong, I would love to here what you have to say, email me at bitten.bytwilight@yahoo.ca

The New Moon Booth!

MTV tells us their experience of the New Moon booth, which sounds Impressive!
Here's what they said:

This year, “New Moon” mania is in full effect. An impressive booth sits in the middle of the convention floor, showing off three enormous character photos of Rob, Kristen and Taylor Lautner. A spinning, “Let’s Make a Deal”-like wheel gives fans the opportunity to win all kinds of “Twilight” swag, and the lines promise to be as long as the list of high schools the Cullens have attended.
The coolest part of the booth, however, once again revolves around a photo op — although this year’s is far cooler. You can sit in a
massive Volturi-style chair just like those soon to be occupied on screen by the vampire coven from Volterra, Italy. After the studio takes your photo, however, they’ll superimpose the actual Italian background from the “New Moon” flick, and then e-mail it to you. How cool is that?

The Press Conference:

The Clips
Rotten Tomatoes has a play-by-play of the 2 clips played at Comic-Con (beware! Heavy Spoilers!)
Here is the article:
Clip 1

Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner) and Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) are bent over an antique light blue motorcycle. Jacob wears jeans, a brown t-shirt, and his hair is long. As Bella sits on the motorcycle, Jacob guides her hands (touching!) over the handles. "Brake. Clutch. Gas," he reminds her. Bella revs the engine. "Slowly release the clutch," says Jacob.

Suddenly, Bella sees the translucent apparition of Edward, a concerned look on his face, standing in front of her. We can see him, but also see through him. Bella takes off on the bike.

As she zooms down the road, Bella gains speed. She zooms by another apparition of Edward, standing in her path. She speeds by another. Losing focus, Bella swerves and falls from the bike, hitting her head on a rock.

Jacob speeds over to Bella on his own bike, coming to a stop with a flourish. He hops off the bike and rushes to Bella's side. She is bewildered, and blood gushes from a gash on her forehead.

"Are you trying to get yourself killed?" Jacob asks. Bella apologizes for the blood, but it doesn't bother Jacob.

He takes a step back, the camera following his every move. Jacob strips off his shirt, revealing a six-pack, and bends down to dab Bella's wound with it. Their faces come very close.

"You're so beautiful," she tells him. Emotion flashes across his face.

END SCENE. TWILIGHTERS SCREAM.

Clip 2

Alice and Bella are winding through the streets of Volterra, slowed by massive crowds of townspeople in red robes, celebrating the festival. Bella jumps out of the car.

"You're the only one he can't see. He'll be under the clock tower. Go!" says Alice.

Bella races through the crowded city. We see her at times in slow motion.

She fights her way through the crowd, stopping at the fountain in the middle of the square. In slow motion, she looks up to see Edward, slowly unbuttoning his shirt just moments away from revealing himself in the sunlight. He opens his shirt to expose his pale chest. (And his abs. Very nice abs.)

Bella screams out to Edward. "Stop! Stop! No Edward, don't!"

He takes a step forward.

END SCENE. CROWD GOES WILD.

Volturi Symbol Necklace!

In an interview with Cameron Bright, he reveals the Volturi Symbol Necklace.

Here is what he says:

"Your wardrobe, that pendant you’re wearing—do you know what those symbols are?

I don’t know, they just kind of slapped it on me. I know that’s a “V” for Volturi, I’m guessing? Because I’m a Volturi…I really have no idea what you’re asking. [Laughs.]

Does yours match Daniel’s?

The whole Volturi family has it because that’s their family seal. I don’t really know all of it. "

Xavier Samuel Confirmed as Riley in Eclipse!

It was recently rumored that Xavier Samuel would be playing Riley in the third installment of the Twilight Saga, Eclispe. It has now been confirmed by Xavier himself and Summitt also! Here is the story:

The 25-year-old Adelaide-born and Sydney-based actor’s career has so far focused on small and independent Australian films.

The vampire movies have already made hot properties of Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, the latter now comes with his own travelling pack of obsessive teen fans.

“I’m in a bit of a daze but it’s a wonderful bit of news,” Samuel exclusively told Confidential from Los Angeles last night.

Samuel has only recently hit Tinseltown after appearing in five small Australian films including Newcastle, where he played a Goth teenager among a group of surfers, September and the upcoming Road Train, where he stars as one of a group of teens terrorised by an out-of-control truck.

End of sidebar. Return to start of sidebar.

In Eclipse he takes on the role of a newborn vampire named Riley, a good-looking university student involved in a plot to kill Stewart’s character Bella.

Samuel is still getting his head around the Twilight phenomenon.

“I managed to catch the film on the way over on the plane,” he said. He admitted he’s not read any of the best-selling books of the series - yet.

“I’m going to start reading the first one tonight.”

Rob to be on Vanity Fair Cover

Eonline reports that Robert Pattinson will possibly be on a upcoming Vantiy Fair Cover(November).

"Robert Pattinson has another magazine cover coming up—and thankfully, it's not some far-fetched tabloid bullcrap this time around.

Mr. Pattinson, I'm told, has landed himself on the cover of probably the most coveted of monthlies—Vanity Fair!

No word yet on if he's even been shot for VF, but I think it's safe to assume it will be out this fall in conjunction with the November release of New Moon. "

Kristen Stewart Pregnant? With Rob's baby?

So I know everyone is buzzing about an Australian Article that claims that Kristen Stewart has a "baby bump" and that she is pregnant with Rob's baby.

I don't believe this is true. First I don't think you'd be able to see a bump already unless her baby is a hybrid vampire.

Do you think this could be a publicity stunt? I think that would be dumb because she already has so much publicity.

showbizspy.com claims that Kristen supposedly discussed this pregnancy thing through her Twitter account and it has been denied MANY times that she does not have a Twitter account by Kristen herself.

So I can't officially confirm or deny these rumors but my THOUGHTS are that this rumor is a load of crap. :)
