Twilight Cast to make Appearances in Canadian Theatres!

Ctv.ca has posted along with a few other places that some of the cast of Twilight will be an appearance at Canadian Theatres in Vancouver and Toronto. Here is the article:

TORONTO — As if "Twilight" fans needed another reason to pack theatres this weekend, members of the cast are planning surprise appearances at cinemas in Toronto and Vancouver as the vampire saga's third film premieres.

Cast members of "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" will be appearing at theatres across the continent to introduce the film.

In Vancouver, someone from the film will be present at one of the screenings on Friday at the Scotiabank Theatre at 900 Burrard Street.

The promised Toronto appearance will happen sometime Sunday at the Scotiabank Theatre at 259 Richmond Street W.

The latest film grossed a staggering $68.5 million when it opened on Wednesday.

Based on the third novel in Stephanie Meyer's series, "Eclipse" revolves around a love triangle between vampire Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson), werewolf Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner) and Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart).

Eclipse Review and Update!

Hi. I've been gone a really long time. I know. I haven't had time to post. I have read The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner which I really enjoyed. It took me less than a day to read it all. Pretty easy but I was glad to have a little bit more Twilight. I love Hot Topic! I went down to the states and we always go down to Hot Topic. My littler sister got Bella's Birthday dress for only $13! And we got an Edward puzzle for like $5! (Its really hard, by the way) Anyways so last night at 11:00 my family and I got ready and drove to the movie theatre. The people who bought tickets online got totally scammed. We bought our ticketes almost a month in advance and we get to the theatre and it was PACKED, we couldn't find 4 seats together unless we wanted to sit in the front row, but the theatre next door wasn't sold out yet and was just opened for people walking in. So you buy tickets online a month in advance and get a crappy seat or you just walk in and get a better seat. Ridiculous much? My mom insisted that we get into the other theatre and we got in and got great seats. I have to say, the movie was FANTASTIC. It was definitely the best of the 3...so far. The Cullen family looked great! They looked pale and GORGEOUS! I have to say, Jaspers hair was kinda bad, and at times I could really tell Bella was wearing a wig. But other than that, they looked absolutely FAB!

Another thing about Eclipse is that the CGI wolves looked amazing. They looked so much better now. I mean, they looked good in New Moon but they look AWESOME in Eclipse. They were beautiful beasts.

Also I thought that the makeup and contacts looked great. The eyes were so vibrant and actually kinda scary at times.

As for the fight with the newborns, I thought it was really cool. It was violent but it wasn't gory because when heads got knocked off it was just like stone breaking, but it was still a little creepy. I didn't really like Jodelle Ferland as Bree. She isn't what a pictured her as when I read the book and even when I read The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner.
And Victoria, as much as I didn't want Rachelle to be replaced, Bryce Dallas Howard did a good job. it wasn't the same, Rachelle still would've been better for sure.

All in all, I REALLY enjoyed the movie and everything was true to the book.
Tell me what YOU thought!
So I just want to say that I really would like people to write for this blog. If I can't get anybody to help I will close my blog down because I can't handle posting and keeping up to date with news and such because I am busy. I will do the best I can but I would very much like people to apply to help. News, Fanfiction, anything, just contact me at bitten.bytwilight@yahoo.ca if your interested :)

Another Book? Yes Please!

So Stephenie updated her website, telling us that she was releasing another book, or novella, as she calls it, based on the life of Bree Tanner, the newborn vampire from Eclipse. Here is her update:

"Surprise!

I have a new book coming out. It's called The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner. Well, it's more of a novella than an actual book—my version of a short story.

Actually, this has been a surprise to me, too. The reason why it's a surprise was that I never intended to publish this story as a stand-alone book. I began this story a long time ago—before Twilight was even released. Back then I was just editing Eclipse, and in the thick of my vampire world. I was thinking a lot about the newborns, imagining their side of the story, and one thing led to another. I started writing from Bree's perspective about those final days, and what it was like to be a newborn.

This story was something that I worked on off and on for a while, just for fun, in between the times I was writing or editing other Twilight novels. Later, when the concept for The Twilight Saga: The Official Guide came up, I thought that might be a good place for Bree. Her story is a nice complement to Eclipse; it explains a lot of the things that Bella never knew. So I dusted it off and finished it up for placement in the Guide.

At the same time, it came in handy for the Eclipse film. Melissa (Rosenberg, the screenwriter) had a ton of questions about what exactly was going on in Seattle, how Victoria managed things, what Riley was like, etc. I let her read what I had then, and later gave the whole thing to the director, David Slade. David asked if Xavier, Bryce, and Jodelle (Riley, Victoria, and Bree) could read it as well, so all the parties involved would end up having a really strong foundation for their characters before the cameras started rolling. I was pleased that this side of the story would make it into the film and was looking forward to including it in the Guide.

(Keeping it confidential: Here is Jodelle next to the bucket of waterlogged ashes that were once the pages of her copy of the Bree manuscript.)
Then I got the news: my "short story" was nearly 200 pages long when typeset. It was too long to fit into the Guide—without ending up with a tome as heavy as the Oxford English Dictionary. My publisher approached me with the idea of releasing the Bree story on its own. One of the major benefits of this plan was that it would be out before the movie, so people would get to know Bree before they saw her in the film. That made sense to me, and we decided to go ahead with it.

There was one thing I asked for: since this story had always been an extra for me, and was meant to be released with the Guide, I wanted to be able to offer it to my fans for free. You all have bought a ton of my books, and I wanted to give you this story as a gift. My publisher was awesome and embraced this idea. We still wanted to also produce a physical book with a cool cover (see below) that you can add to your set if you like, but starting at noon on June 7th until July 5th, it will also be available online at http://www.breetanner.com/.

One other aspect of this release is the plan to give a more important gift to people who really need it. One dollar of each book purchased in the US from the first printing will be donated to the American Red Cross for their relief efforts in Haiti and Chile and other parts of the world where people are in great need. We're going to have an option online as well, so you can choose to make a donation if you want when you read the story online. I hope you will. I think that we can really help a lot of people with this.

I really hope you all enjoy this story. I had a blast writing it. I'm glad that after all this time cooling her heels in my files, Bree finally gets her chance to shine.
Thanks for all the support,
Steph"

Here is the synopsis of the Novel:

"Fans of The Twilight Saga will be enthralled by this riveting story of Bree Tanner, a character first introduced in Eclipse, and the darker side of the newborn vampire world she inhabits. In another irresistible combination of danger, mystery, and romance, Stephenie Meyer tells the devastating story of Bree and the newborn army as they prepare to close in on Bella Swan and the Cullens, following their encounter to its unforgettable conclusion"
So what do you think?

Finally, the day has come. New Moon is now PORTABLE :)

So everyone, New Moon was officially released at 12:01 this morning. Did the DVD and all the special features live up to the hype? (Heck yess!) I want to hear your thoughts on the DVD and the special edition package you bought! I bought the one from Best Buy Canada. It was the DVD in a metal tin, and it came with your own personal POCKET EDDIE!
So at 11:30 my family and my 2 friends got in our mini van and drove to Best Buy. The line up at the one we went to was pretty small and there were some crazed lunatics banging at the door to get in. (JK! We know how you feel!) I'm pretty sure it was a few minutes before midnight when they opened the doors and let us all in . We grabbed the movie we wanted, whether it be DVD or Blu-Ray, tin box and PE or just the movie, and headed to pay. As soon as we all got in the car, we cracked that bad boy open to get out our Pocket Edwards, making sure they didn't make him insanely pocket sized and tricked us. Phew, he's full size. Altogether it was a pretty epic night, as soon as we got home we put the movie on and watched it. I haven't gotten around to the bonus features but the time will come.

What did you think of your DVD? How were the bonus features? How do you think this DVD compared to Twilight?
